Beginning on Sunday, August 8th Simpsonwood United Methodist Church (SUMC) is a community of faith in Norcross, Georgia. We are nestled within the metropolitan-Atlanta area, yet bordered by a 200-acre retreat center on the Chattahoochee River. We are a group of individuals and families committed to a life-long journey of developing an intimate relationship with God through knowing his son Jesus Christ. We come together to share Christ’s transforming love and unconditional forgiveness, providing support and encouragement to each other amid the ups and downs of life. We strive to be a genuine, sincere, and humble family of believers. We make every effort to be a place where both regularly-churched people and those not currently attending church can connect with God in an inspiring and relevant environment. In our church there is no dress code, fake pretenses, or perfect people. We are fallible human beings who, by God's grace, share the journey called “life” as we strive to become more like Christ.
We also are passionate about sharing our faith in Christ with others in our community, greater-metropolitan city, and to countries around the world. We intentionally seek to make Christ known by the way we serve others. Our passion to share the good news of Christ is reflected in everything we do … from our worship services and programs for adults of all ages, students, and children to our local mission projects and international mission trips. We focus on creating opportunities to experience and share the living Christ.
