shepherd Ministry

For the pastoral activity of the church the cooperation of a great many people is needed.  Our pastors have recognized that the traditional roles of the clergy doing the pastoring and the members receiving it was inadequate in caring for the needs of the growing church that we have become.  Members of Simpsonwood's Shepherd Ministry have committed to PACE - (1) to Pray for their flock of 8-10 families daily, (2) be Available to them, (3) Contact them at least monthly, and (4) be a Christian Example, following the example of Christ.  We want our church family to know that they are remembered and loved.

Involving Shepherds along with our pastors in caring for church members not only increases the level of personal contact, but allows our members to use their spiritual gifts in this meaningful new ministry.  We invite you to participate in the Shepherd Ministry.  For more information, contact Lora King (770.446.9692 dukewife@comcast.net)
